People in poverty more likely to be depressed

Those living in poverty are likelier to suffer from a variety of disorders, including asthma, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and heart attacks, according to a new poll from by The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index.  The poll also finds that the poor are almost twice as likely to experience depression, which affects 30.9 percent of impoverished adults, versus just 15.8 percent of the non-poor.
