North Carolina working families have lost significant financial ground and opportunities since 2000, according to a new report by the N.C. Justice Center.  The state was one of those hardest hit by the recession, and recovery has been sluggish, with unemployment still at nearly double pre-recession levels. The Center urges not only focusing on immediate job growth but also on providing greater job stability such as by raising the minimum wage.
